Esta Zulu, winner of the Master Weaver Competition in 2011

ESTA-ZULU

Esta has woven baskets for Tintsaba since its inception in 1985. She is remarkable in her ability to visualize, considering she has no access to television or magazines or even horses in her environment, She does not plan her patterns on paper, but all from memory.  She also does story baskets of homestead life.
She doesn't know her birth date, estimated age 58. She has taught her daughter to make nearly as fine baskets.

Esta has won many basket competitions over the years. Each competition entrant gets a bonus and the winners get cash prizes. Should the basket be sold over usual retail price, Tintsaba gives the master weaver the difference.  Please contact Tintsaba for further information on the purchase of the Master Weaver Competition Baskets.
