In 2006, Tintsaba was crowned with Swaziland’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Since then, many people have asked us what do we do and how do we do it differently. In this light, let us share with you our secret to success, which is our devotion to our people.

Our mission is the upliftment and support of our Nation's women, so it was not out of line for us to spend a whole week in January 2008 talking to our fulltime staff on matters which some may think have nothing to do with work or making money or doing business. It was quite natural for us to speak on love and forgiveness and to reach out to each other’s wholeness.

Each and every participant in Tintsaba, our customers included, discover what we believe in. While each staff member indeed has a career with us, just as importantly, they are part of our family. We recognize that staff members are individuals faced with challenges in many aspects of their lives. We focus on the universal principles of honesty and trust throughout the company to build relationships amongst each other. No wonder our staff members stand out and are so full of light.

Tintsaba is made up of several teams knit together to form a capable and devoted staff.

The women producers scattered throughout rural Swaziland are the heartbeat of Tintsaba. This network of rural women is headed by a team of trainers who assist the less proficient weavers to improve their skills. The trainers are some of the most talented and skilled weavers who have artistic flair and mastered technical expertise. Without these trainers, Tintsaba simply would not exist. We praise them for their devotion and time given to uplifting others. Their focus on quality has made Tintsaba proud to be known as the Masterweavers in Sisal in Africa.

And finally the retail staff are the legs of the company, capably marketing the products in our three retail outlets.

Together, Tintsaba’s teams form a family of which we are proud.
